Team Elmer's Scholarship Program

Team Elmer's is proud to award education scholarships to our employee's dependents. This year, depending on submissions, we will be awarding at least:

Three (3) $500 Elmer’s Education Scholarships

Team Elmer’s scholarships are available to employee dependents 16 years or older planning to attend college, or students already in college. A copy of college class schedule may be required before the final award payment.

One (1) $1,000 Elmer’s Believes FPU Scholarship

The $1,000 Elmer’s Believes FPU Scholarship is for any dependent of an Elmer’s employee 16 years or older planning to extend their education. The applicant must attend and complete a Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University Course. The applicant must also provide a copy of the certificate of completion for the FPU course or the instructor's name and location. Elmer’s will pay for the $100+ FPU kit regardless of essay submission.

One (1) NMC Scholarship for up to 15 Contact Hours

The In-District $1,635 or In State Out of District $3,405 scholarship to Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City is available for any Team Elmer’s employee dependent who will be enrolled in any classes for 2021 - Spring 2022 up to the amount specified above. The scholarship must be used for up to 15 contact hours by June 30, 2022. The certificate has no cash value, cannot be extended, or transferred.

One (1) $1,000 Trades Scholarship

The $1,000 Trades Scholarship is available to any Team Elmer’s employee dependent who will be enrolled in an accredited Career and Technical Education Program, including  Trucking, Heavy Construction, and Road Building, Testing, Mining, Construction, Welding, HVAC, Electrical or similar trades field. A copy of the college class schedule may be required before the final award payment. 

To apply for any of the above scholarships, please submit a 100-250 word essay answering the following : 

Write a poem about a Team Elmer's project or division.

All applications must be received by April 30, 2021. Essays will be judged and recipients will be announced in the Summer (July) Team Elmer’s newsletter. Recipients will also be notified directly about how to claim their prize. These are non-renewable scholarships. You must submit each year to be eligible for the award.
