This deterioration can be caused by age, corrosive chemicals or gases, physical stresses such as freeze/thaw cycles or a combination of these factors. Manhole rehabilitation prevents ground water infiltration into a “closed” water or sanitary sewer system and extends catch basin life span through increased structural integrity and corrosion prevention.
