ConExpo in Las Vegas!

The ConExpo - Con/Agg show is held in Las Vegas, Nevada every three years. The event hosts over 2,500 exhibitors, 2,500,000 square feet of show space (roughly the size of 52 football fields goal line to goal line), and more than 150 education sessions for asphalt, aggregates, concrete, earth moving, lifting, mining, utilities, and more!

Team Elmer's was present at this year's show, experiencing all they had to offer!

Project AME, a 3D-printed excavator, was a big hit at the show! It's the first large scale use of steel in 3D printing and included the cab, the boom, a hydraulic reservoir, heat exchanger, and cooling system!

Another exciting new technology exhibited at the show was the use of remotely operated equipment. CAT actually gave attendees the opportunity to remotely control a D8T Dozer that was 1,400 miles away! This technology can be used for dangerous tasks to keep operators out of harms way.

Projects from Around the State!

Team Elmer's has 9 concrete plants all across northern Michigan, keeping our ready mix drivers busy day after day delivering product to a wide variety of projects.

In this episode of the Team Elmer's Update we'll hit the road and check in with one our mid-Michigan plants in Mount Pleasant, as well as two east-side plants in Omer and Oscoda.

In Mount Pleasant our plant manager has dispatched a delivery to a local business for a small flatwork pour, expanding their hard surface area for daily operations.

Meanwhile, on the east side of the state, our Oscoda drivers are pouring the floor for a new addition to a local factory facility. And just south of that, our Omer plant has dispatched their drivers, as well as several others from nearby plants, to pour a new manure pit for a nearby farm.
