Leaning Chimneys

Due to its weight, it is not unusual for a chimney structure to settle and begin to fall away from the house. The chimney can be permanently stabilized and often restored to its upright position using helical piers at the base.

This chimney had been slowly falling away from the home over a period of years and was beginning to do damage to the inside of the home as well.

Helical piers are installed at the base and bracket cups under the footing. Then, using hydraulic jacks, the chimney is restored to its original position.

The structure is permanently repaired in just about one-half of a day.

Sinking Foundation
