Go BIG on Interstate 75!

I-75 near Sault Ste Marie has recently been opened back up to traffic after having been closed off for nearly 3 months. Team Elmer's Hillman-based crew removed and replaced 2 large culverts on the interstate near Dafter, MI, which were previously installed roughly 50 years ago and had reached the end of their service life.

The larger than typical culverts, with the largest of the two reaching just under 11.5 feet (137"), came in the form of numerous large steel sheets, which were held together with 8,000 bolts.

Tune into Episode 7 as the crew takes you around the detour and shares the challenges they encountered and overcame throughout the project!

Team Elmer's Update - Episode 7: Going Big on I-75

The interstate was opened back up to the traveling public July 30th, 11 weeks ahead of MDOT's original completion date!

Swingshift and the Stars is back at again! The dance competition provides a fun atmosphere to raise awareness and much needed funding for numerous charitable organizations all at once! The contestants perform their routines for a panel of judges, as well as the live audience, to receive votes in the form of donations to their respective charities. Team Elmer's is the All-Star Show Sponsor for the second event, which will be held on Friday, October 16th at the TC Opera House. The Swingshift contestants stopped by our Traverse City yard for a photoshoot in preparation of their upcoming event!
